NOTICE: ​​

WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING FILM WRAP FOR RECYCLING
EX:  GROCERY BAGS, SARAN WRAP, ZIPLOCK BAGS, CEREAL BAGS, BREAD BAGS AND BUBBLE WRAP.
PLEASE DISPOSE OF IN YOUR REGULAR HOUSEHOLD WASTE.  

  1. PLASTICS
    CLEAN AND NO CAPS Food containers, condiment containers, laundry, dish soap container, etc. NO Styrofoam or #7 Water Jugs Please!
  2. MIXED PAPER
    All glossy flyers, magazines, catalogs & telephone books ​
  3. CARDBOARDS
    Flattened corrugated cardboard NO WAXED Cardboard BOXBOARD Thin box board- cereal, Kleenex, paper rolls, and soap boxes etc.
  4. OIL / FILTERS / PAILS
    Oil filters, Used oil, Empty oil Jugs (30 Liters or less) ONLY AT ROCKY TRANSFER STATION
  5. METAL AND TIN
    TIN CANS-Rinsed with labels removed SCRAP METAL Appliances Other Metal NO Automobiles or Vehicle parts
  6. GLASS
    CLEAN WITH LIDS REMOVED Jars and bottles with the recycling symbol on the bottom. Please seperate clear from colored.
  7. TIRES
    Passenger, semi and off-road tires Will accept rims on tires, rims that are seperate can be recycled with the metal. NOT accepted at LandfIll
  8. ELECTRONICS
    Computer monitors, CPU’s, printers, TV’s ​​ Servers, hard drives, towers, and laptops.
  9. PAINT AND HHW
    Most household and spray paint is accepted at the transfer stations as part of the Alberta Recycling Program. Please ensure the lids are on the paint cans. For more information on Alberta's Paint Recycling Program visit AlbertaRecycling.ca
  10. NEWSPRINT
    Newsprint Any items that come in the newspaper can be recycled with the newspaper.
  11. PESTICIDE CONTAINERS
    MUST be triple rinsed, punctured, empty and caps removed Booklets removed and recycled
  12. NOT ACEPTABLE
    ​NON ACCEPTABLE WASTE INCLUDES: Pressurized canisters Radioactive materials Explosives Biological OR Medical Sharps or Needles​
  13. AGRICULTURAL RECYCLING
    SILAGE WRAP AND TWINE Must be clean; no dirt, seeds, etc. Twine must be seperated and stored in clear plastic bags Bags provided at your nearest collection site SILAGE WRAP ONLY ACCEPTED AT ROCKY TRANSFER STATION

  15. BATTERY RECYCLING
    Ni-Cd Rechargable batteries Cell phones, cordless phones, power tools, laptops, etc. ​​​Lead Acid Batteries Automotive Recreational (ATV) etc. ​Alkaline Batteries AA, AAA, 9V, 6V, etc.
