    Where can I get a garbage cart?

    A

    All single family and multi family residences within the Town of Rocky Mountain House were provided with 1 bin per household. If you didn't receive on, please call 403-845-4121.

    How can I dispose of yard waste?

    A

    Yard-waste (brush, branches, tree limbs, grass clippings, leaves) can be taken to the Transfer Stations or to the Landfill.

    What happens when curbside collection is delayed?

    A

    As long as your cart is placed in the designated spot by 7 am on your collection day, it will be picked up before 5pm. If for some reason the collection is cancelled or delayed by a day, it will be posted on the website, or you will be notified by other means.

    What can I do with my old paint and paint related products?

    A

    Items such as Aerosols (paint or household), cleaners, chemicals, insecticides, waxes, fluorescent bulbs Latex, or Oil base household paint are accepted at any of the Transfer stations. Landfill will accept these items but we would rather you take them to be recycled.

    Do I need a biodegradable bag for waste?

    A

    It is recommended but not mandatory.

    What happens if I overfill my cart?

    A

    Lids must be fully closed. Overfull carts will not be collected. The system is designed so that the lid must be closed until the cart is positioned directly over the truck. If the cart is over filled then the lid opens too soon and waste falls onto the ground before emptying into the truck. Please Do Not Overfill.

    Where can I take old ammunition for disposal?

    A

    Please take these items to the nearest RCMP detachment. They will also accept discarded firearms. A call ahead is required prior to arrival. (403) 845-2881
